January 2 – Cirrus SR 22

Saturday, January 2 — In at 7:50, sunny, calm and cold. Processed a few pictures. None I took last night just before leaving were okay because I was so cold in the wind that my shivering, shaking bare hands blurred everything. First time that’s ever happened. Employer was okay, more customers than for the whole week before. Assembled more articles with copied pages, a moderate net gain. All visitors were nice. Back to AKM at 2:15. Piddled around with processing, uninspired, unmotivated, out of sorts. There were a few NetJets Citation XL  passengers milling around outside the open WELCOME Room door, but no one visited. Decided I’d be more productive at home and left about 4:15, the earliest I’ve EVER gone home. Tried to take a nap, but gave up after an hour with my eyes closed trying not to think about anything, and as a result, of course,  I thought about everything. To home-office-with-a- bed and began arranging the new model work area and moved the 1/48 floatplane F4F in but didn’t work on it. Ate dinner and continued to re-read a fabulous biography of  Benjamin Franklin — The First American, by J.W. Brandis; a gem of a book.  Browsed internet and finally went to sleep about 10:30. Day rating: D+    I had intended to accomplish more, but I’m drenched in regret over many aspects of my present circumstance. I will begin anew January 3.

Pictures of the AeroKnow Museum WELCOME Room and SR-22 and altered Piaggio Avanti were taken September 6, 2015.
