January 8

Friday, January 8 — in at 9 after visiting the JTW book printer who said it should be ready to pick up Monday afternoon. Overcast and nothing on the ramp. Processed some clippings and took them and some books upstairs. Tried to eliminate some clutter. A two-drawer file cabinet in the office would help a lot. Rearranged a lot of documents and photos, deleted everything connected to poetry. An incident took place that flattened my zeal for the future out here, and I just could not get ambitious. So I went home at 4:30. Day rating: D. I’ll make an early start out here Saturday.
