Friday, January 15 — In at 9:05 in moderate rain and cool. Phot’d a Falcon 20 on the ramp. Began work on the SBJ article. Was distracted by arrival of a Gulfstream GIV-SP, Cessna 414, Global 5000 and King Air E90 which I phot’d from behind the fence. Carried four loads of files I’ll store upstairs. A friend who promised help with new locks ARRIVED with a test lock. Tried to fit it to a door. Didn’t fit! He promised to return some day with the tool he needs to make it fit. Maybe in a few months; who knows? Can’t say for sure. He has a job. . . . . . . . Back to the article. Lunch was a cookie I’d saved from lunch at Terminal Subway yesterday. It was all I needed, really. More would have impeded the brain I needed to finish the SBJ article today. LOCKED the office door and resumed work. Airport director Mark H. appeared at office door with guests in tow: organizers of a project planned for September this year. They will announce it when the time is right. I promised MAJOR consulting help with it. Terrific trio of guests; promised to return with more from their group for a tour of the rest of AKM. . . . . . . .Back to the SBJ article and FINISHED it about 4; sent it in to editor, almost overjoyed over FINISHING it and LIKING it. It came out better than hoped for. I’d been dragging my heels with the assignment, but — as ALWAYS — once I committed to concentrating on producing the article, it was an absolute pleasure to write. Prepared some copies of the JTW book to distribute and mail, processed the rest of today’s pictures, and went home at 7:10, a mite hungry but feeling excellent! š Day rating: A
Pictures are more of the C-26 which visited SPI January 14.
