March 28

Monday, March 28 — In at 9:10 after buying a dozen donuts at Mel-O-Cream on Sixth St. for the Horizon team and lobby visitors. They share their donuts with me, and I like to reciprocate now and then. Beautiful sunshine and calm on the ramp. Phot’d the Cardinal that was here from yesterday and processed the pics. Brought several model paints from the home workshop office. I think I’m just going to start bringing all the model materials back to the airport because with the weather warming and my proven incapacity to do much after getting home from the airport PLUS my reluctance to spend much time at home when I’m not eating or sleeping, there’s no point in having anything in the small bedroom. I may empty it and just store things from the basement, which I’ve totally surrendered to the upstairs renters, and things elsewhere in my living room and kitchen. Discovered an Air Tractor I’d not seen before, so photed it.. Processed the pictures by 10:10. Was on my feet from 10:11 to 3:50 putting things away in Books & Misc. Room, Back to office at 3:51, legs feeling like they had walked 50 miles. Had fruit for late lunch. Made labels for files and trays from notes made upstairs. No more hand-scrawled labels around here! Made more labels for trays and drawers/boxes upstairs and returned to cut them out and tape them on about 5. No visitors all day. Did that while making notes for a few more. Back to office at 6:40. Made those remaining, printed them. Will apply them Tuesday. Intended to leave at 6, but delayed. . . . making/printing more labels for upstairs until 7:30 when I left. I worked pretty hard, even perspired, but it’s okay. I accomplished a LOT. Day rating: A-
