Friday April 1, Beech King Air 350, Cessna Conquest I

Friday, April 1 —- Delayed coming in so I could run some errands. Visited my long-time friend John Paul at Prairie Archives, which opens at 10 am,  and he purchased 3 J.T. Walker books (wholesale) to offer visitors to his fabulous bookstore on the downtown square. Into AKM at 11. Worked on the March Lincoln Flyer #8 and made progress; almost have it together. Will finish it Saturday after five hours at my employer if I escape with my sanity — and that’s not always the case. I’ve found the aftertaste of a nasty five hours a week there — and it doesn’t happen as often as it used to — ruins me for the rest of the day, but I’m usually fine by Sunday morning. Took a few pics of a Wheels Up King Air; crew didn’t visit. The last of the series has been
“posterized” for the fun of it. Fruit for lunch. Worked upstairs in Process, Kits Under Way in Storage, and the new MODEL ROOM which will have all the model magazines plus the unmade kits by Revell and Monogram. This is a major development. Sorted, un-rushed sorting the incredible disarray and clutter in the Process Room, rearranging books, moving enlargements into the Research Room after boxing MANY magazines about hot air ballooning and putting them into storage until interest from the outside merits greater presence here at AKM. Major progress this week upstairs. Noticed a fairly  rare Conquest on the ramp in later afternoon and took a few pics in interesting light. Went home via grocer at 5:30. Day rating: A

Pictures taken Friday, April 1, 2016 are of a Wheels Up (charter operator) Beech King Air 350 and later in the day, a Cessna Conquest I.
