April 8

Friday, April 8 — In at 7:00, cold and rain out, everything wet, nothing on ramp. Worked to de-clutter the Process Rm upstairs. Made good progress. This  will be a MAJOR Un-CLUTTERING of the model building area, maybe a re-arrangement of the desks. We shall see. Took laptop computer with a bunch of magazines to index to employer, but hit a brick wall with the laptop. There are so many things I don’t know how to do with it, and the touch pad for controlling the cursor totally screwed me up. It took me almost two hours to index THREE and a half WO FLYPAST magazines! I had to keep correcting mistakes made when my thumbs accidentally touched the touch pad. I MUST find a solution, maybe tape a piece of cardboard over the touch pad and use a mouse for that. I finally gave up and read a few of the avmags I had brought to index. Very frustrating. Back to AKM and after checking email, resumed work in the process rm from about 6:00 to 7:30 and made excellent progress with the de-cluttering. I MUST get proficient with the laptop! Departed for home at 7:35. Day rating: B
