May 9 —

Mon, May 9 — In at 7:05, calm, overcast and threatening rain. Worked on Chanute Museum pictures from last year, then upstairs to Process Room and began making progress there when a model club friend came by, offering to help, but I declined TODAY ONLY because I was out of sorts and thinking about my appointment with the dentist. Left for dental appointment at 11:30. It went fine. Lost two teeth and major infection where they had been was treated. It was SERIOUS infection. Also a surprise: dentist didn’t make the “flipper” we had talked about. The whole NEW LOWER plate was ready. I will put it in for the first time Tuesday after the swelling goes down. NICE SURPRISE and a time saver. Processed more Chanute pictures until about 4:00. Considered going upstairs to nap and continue up there. Then decided to go home early and beat the dark and traffic. I’m tired. There’s no rush around here. Departed at 4:15. Day rating A — because of how well the dental work went and my progress with the Chanute pictures.
