December 3 – Gulfstream G. IV

Thursday, December 3 — In at 10:30 after picking up 10 hard copies of the Nov. Lincoln Flyer. Phot’d a beautiful G.IV from the fence after rushing to the office to get the camera and not even taking time to turn on the lights. A few minutes later I met the pilot who OK’d me to visit the ramp and take some pictures. Later I toured the inside with pilot took some pics of the cockpit and panel. Later phot’d its takeoff from Runway 31. Processed pictures most of the day. Took a short nap at the desk with the door closed. Processed pictures the rest of the day and went home at 9:40. Day rating D-. Cannot tell you why.

Pictures are of the visiting 1994 G.IV from Connecticut. I asked the pilot if it was just out of the paint ship, it looked so clean. He said it was repainted last February. Was asked not to photog the cabin, but I was welcome to phot the cockpit as his copilot prepared for the arrival of passengers. These and more pictures of this G.IV will be featured in an AeroKnow Gallery of Flight blog post in the next week.
